Event:

Bird Walk with Tony Lombardino – NEW LOCATION

Group of people bird watching
10 FEB

Learn more about bird identification and explore a variety of habitats during the late winter season.

Bring a friend and join us Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 8:00 AM, for a bird walk at 1509 Crane Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Look for the big entrance with two life-size deer statues on either side after you make the turn in.

Guided by Tony Lombardino, an avid birder who has lead many bird walks for visitors to the Rockefeller University Field Research Center in Millbrook, NY and as a docent at the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University.

Something for all levels of birding – from beginning to advance! Plus pick up tips on birding by ear, migration, habitat and lots more! If you can’t find us when you get there, call 704 819-3447. The walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last about 1 hour. Dress for the weather. We recommend waterproof shoes, long pants, and binoculars.
